Malaria And Flu Force Mahama To Cut Short His Northern Regional Tour.

Former President John Dramani Mahama is reported to have been bogged down by an acute malaria and flu whilst he was on a campaign tour in the northern part of the country.

According to information gathered by ghananewsreporters, the ex-President was forced to abandon his campaign tour of the north and had to be rushed back to Accra to seek medical attention.

He was touring parts of the northern part of the Eastern Corridor and the poor nature of the roads caused his sickness, forcing him to abandon ship as a result.

These ailments, from every instrument of measurement, have been caused by the unavailability of helicopter, police escorts, siren and the other luxurious benefits which used to define his outings.

The laborious nature of the campaign, coupled with the poor nature of the same roads he has been bragging to have fixed, have contributed greatly to his present predicament.

“He wouldn’t have fallen ill if he were still president with all these vehicles and escorts at his disposal” one of his campaign aides is reported to have intimated.

Close sources of the former President have revealed that he is seeking medical attention as the illness seems to have had quite a toll on him.

Mr. Mahama, until he was afflicted by these diseases, was campaigning in the northern part of the country in his bid to lead the NDC into the next elections.
